Costs

$79 per tree is charged to verify compliance with felling conditions. Please note that the request for a certificate of authorization is necessary to fell an ash tree, but there is no cost associated with this request.

• The tree is dead

• The tree is in a state of irreversible decline

• The tree must be felled to limit the risk of spreading a disease or an invasive exotic insect species.

• The tree is dangerous for the safety of people and property due to one or more major structural weaknesses making any corrective arboricultural work impossible.

• The tree must be felled in order to build or develop a structure compliant with the issue of a planning authorization certificate (renovation, driveway enlargement, etc.)
