Boisbriand felling permit

The City of Boisbriand allows the felling or severe pruning of a tree located on your property under certain conditions. In fact, a certificate of authorization must be issued to you BEFORE carrying out the work.

Reason(s) for the request:

• Tree dead or suffering from an incurable disease;

• Tree dangerous for personal safety;

• Tree harmful to the growth and well-being of neighboring trees;

• Tree causing damage to public or private property;

• Tree felled to increase the cultivable area of a farm;

• Tree felled in order to build or develop a structure that complies with town planning regulations.

Request for certificate of authorization
A technician will carry out an on-site inspection. Before submitting an application for a certificate of authorization , make sure:

• to have identified the tree or trees using a colored ribbon;

• that the tree is accessible.
